Our firm was established in 2004 and has been providing outstanding residential design services to the Chicagoland area ever since. Our specialty is getting to know you as our client, you talk and we listen in order to provide a truly custom home through a design experience that is tailored to your needs. Our regular customers particularly value our past construction experience as well as our desire to keep our knowledge of energy efficient and sustainable construction techniques up to date.
Our Story
Steve Meyer began his career as a residential framer and later a trim carpenter. This created a passion for residential design that has never faded. He graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Architecture in 1999 with a degree in Architectural Technology and Architectural Design. His construction background gives him a hands-on perspective to architectural detailing that most architects cannot offer.
We started small and grew from hard work and reputation. Meyer Design was born out of a passion to do things the right way. Started in the study of his family home, Steve took his knowledge and experience from two other firms and opened the doors. Growing quickly we moved to West Chicago and hired Jessie who is now our project manager. Working through the ups and downs of 2008, Meyer Design stayed busy due to our commitment to our clients and their needs. In 2014 we built out our new offices in Naperville, and we are now celebrating our 12th anniversary in this location!
Jessica (Jessie) is our Project Manager and lead Interior Designer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with emphasis in Interior Architecture from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s of Architecture from Judson University. While she loves working on a wide variety of architectural styles, she has a minor in architectural history and truly enjoys our historic projects. She also creates murals and faux finishes, making her an active part of interior design projects.
Jordan, our Architectural Drafter, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Technology and comes to us with a mixed background of both residential and commercial construction. Jordan's favorite part of architecture is being a part of a 2D vision coming to life.
Due to a continued increase in business we will likely add a few more to our team in the upcoming years; yet strive to stay small and personally connected to each and every client.
